MIYABI cutting boards are an essential tool when working with a knife. The Japanese premium knife manufacturer has designed the cutting boards precisely so that the potential of MIYABI knives is used to the maximum. Hinoki wood cutting boards are made from one piece of wood, so no glue was used in their production. Both sides of the cutting board can be used for cutting: fruit and vegetables, meat, fish or pastries. Carefully selected material protects the fine edge of Japanese knives and keeps the knives sharp for longer.

Hinoki is a light but hard wood from the Japanese cypress. It is characterized by its high resistance to decaying and thus perfectly withstands the effects of acidic environments, moisture and salt. It is naturally antibacterial and durable.

After use, we recommend only hand washing with warm water and detergent, preferably wiping with a damp cloth and then wiping dry. It is always a good idea to let the board dry in an upright position.

Avoid use in extreme humidity or extreme temperatures for long board life. Regular treatment with cold-pressed oil will keep your cutting board beautiful for a long time. The oil also prevents moisture penetration and preserves the natural colour and texture of the wood.
